Lauren J Mateer is a Houston, TX based painter noted for her heavily textured, large format watercolors and "imperfect frame" pieces.

 

In 2017, she produced her first works including commissioned portraits and adorned furniture pieces, and has spent the years since refining her vision.

Lauren's works are emotionally driven and inspired by her experiences in motherhood, travel, loss, wellness and the unpredictable occurrences of life. Her paintings reflect her imagination, zeal and perseverance.
